We are Steve and Colleen Smith.
We are just *regular* people, we both work full time at demanding jobs. We work hard here at home to care for the equine members of our family. We are amateur riders, and amateur photographers, and this website is a creation of our own hands, and may not accurately convey the magnitude of accomplishment or pride we have in our horses.
We strive to raise exceptional foals, by our Proven Champion Stallion. We are also very proud of our mares, and have been blessed with some outstanding foals from them. Please take a look at them on their pages, too.
Our goal is to raise a few Performance Bred Quarter Horse foals each year, that will have the pedigree, conformation, ability & temperament to EXCEL in any of the demanding performance venues.

We left our mares open in 2009, we didn't have any foals in 2010.
We are expecting 3 outstanding Playin Pep foals in 2011.

Why are we doing what we're doing??
Don't we know that the horse market is really bad right now??
Don't we know that there are too many horses already??
Don't we know that fewer and fewer people are getting into horse ownership??
Don't we know that more and more people are cutting back on their numbers of horses??
So... Why are we doing what we're doing??
It is simple. We believe in the horses we are producing.
We believe that good horsemen still want great horses. They still want horses that have the conformation to work all day long and stay sound doing it.
We believe that Performance Competitors still want good looking horses to show, that have solid minds and bodies to withstand rigorous training.
We believe that Performance Competitors want horses with excellent bloodlines and PROVEN Champion Performance Records.
We understand some people want weanlings, but others want a horse to already be started under saddle. We're willing to make the investment to keep our babies till they are ready to sell. We won't be producing foals, then dumping them on the market for next to nothing.
As long as we believe that Good Horsemen still want Great Horses, we'll be right here, raising a few.
